  • In 1997, Yoshinoya expanded into Singapore in the form of a franchise. In 2016, Yoshinoya Holdings’ subsidiary ASIA YOSHINOYA INTERNATIONAL SDN. BHD. acquired all shares and converted franchised restaurants into directly-operated restaurants.
  • In conjunction with the conversion of franchised restaurants into directly-operated restaurants, the restaurants were switched to a new style. ASIA YOSHINOYA INTERNATIONAL SDN. BHD. strives to build and spread the Yoshinoya brand by serving as the showroom in Southeast Asia.

  • In 2010, a franchise agreement was concluded with CENTRAL RESTAURANTS GROUP CO., LTD. In 2011, the first restaurant was opened.
  • Local customers enjoy the diverse menu that has successively reproduced hit products of Yoshinoya in Japan, together with the beautiful restaurant design with white interiors. Going forward, further brand building will be sought by expanding into various locations including food courts.

  • In March 2013, a franchise agreement was concluded with MEAS DEVELOPMENT CO., LTD. In November 2013, the first restaurant in Cambodia was opened.
  • Restaurants have been opened in Phnom Penh International Airport and Siem Reap International Airport, which serve as gateways to Cambodia; the restaurants have been winning the hearts of many tourists.

  • In June 2001, a franchise agreement was concluded with Century Pacific Yoshinoya Inc., and in December 2001, the first restaurant in the Philippines was opened.
  • Bright restaurants with an open atmosphere are operated to suit Philippines’ unique trait in terms of its particularly strong inclination for the Western culture among ASEAN countries. Further evolution of the Yoshinoya brand will be sought by adapting to local customers’ tastes.

  • In 2009, a franchise agreement was concluded with PT. MULTIRASA NUSANTARA . In 2010, the first restaurant in Indonesia was opened. Established PT. Happy Restaurants Indonesia in October 2017. Opened 1st Hanamaru Udon store in September 2018.
  • The number of restaurants have continued to grow steadily, exceeding 50 in 2016 and 80 in 2018.
  • As “JAPAN’S NO.1 Beef Bowl,” the Yoshinoya brand is becoming increasingly widespread especially in Jakarta. YAKINIKU bowl has been popular, having become a major hit product since its release. Going forward, further expansion will be sought by making inroads into other cities.


  • A franchise agreement with V Lotus Holdings Join stock Company was signed on October 2019.
  • Vietnam is expected to develop more and more because Vietnam’s GDP growth rate and young population ratio are going to remain higher compared to those of most of ASEAN countries.
    We plan to accelerate expansion into other cities by establishing and developing Yoshinoya brand. We believe our beef bowl will be welcomed because of local people’ preference of consuming beef meals like “Pho”, and improvement of quality of life due to salary increment.
